Flipandbounce Promotions, run by Simon Taylor (UKA qualified) aims to bring Salsa dancing to the masses in and around the East Midlands. We currently operate salsa classes in Derby, Chesterfield & Nottingham.
Partner dancing is definitely on the rise and Salsa is one of the most enjoyable forms of it, bringing together people of all backgrounds.
So if you're an absolute Salsa beginner, Improver or Intermediate we have classes to cater for your needs.
So what is Salsa all about?
The three main Salsa styles include:
.New York Style where partners swap positions in a striaght line using cross body lead but can be danced On1 or On2 with more emphasis on shines (footwork)
.LA Style once again where partners swap positions in a straight line using cross-body lead.
.Cuban Style where partners travel around each other in a circular motion.
We mainly teach New York style On1 and look forward to you joining us!
